Welcome

This website is about and belongs to Techman, professional freelance writer and the God of all writing (hint: Nobody worships Thoth anymore).

Okay, so there was much deliberation on my part when writing this 'welcome' page because I really didn't want to sound condescending like most other people do. If there's one thing I want established throughout this site, it's this: Content rules. I'm sure you know it already or you wouldn't be here now.

Frankly, I'm sick and tired of writers repeating the obvious in hopes that their redundancy will somehow convince you to buy retarded, keyword-stuffed articles from them.

That brings me to a very important point here:

 Bad content is bad.

How bad? Bad like wrestling-superstars-in-movies bad. As obvious as this is, most people still don't seem to realize it. I have personally seen a lot of people in forums and bidding sites "expertly" advising others to buy dollar articles (you know those $1/500-word thingies) and then put them on their sites to make a 'killing' with AdSense or boost their site's popularity.

Many (including some reading this page) think this is a good way to promote themselves; well, think again, gentlemen. How many people do you think enjoy reading articles that say "easy rent car USA" every other sentence? Readers cannot should not be expected to somehow digest the stupidity of these articles and then click on blocks of advertisement "cleverly" positioned beside them.

If there's one thing that really gets on my nerves, it's that most webmasters and publishers treat readers like machines. They don't seem to realize that their readers are living human beings with real lives just like themselves. Readers aren't manufactured in China to click away on ads; people don't buy magazines to read patronizing articles and slobber over stupid advertisements that go with them.

So in case you haven't noticed...

Quality runs the show.

"Content is King... And unless it takes a few shots of 'quality' soon, it's about to be dethroned."

There is no possible way to overstate the importance of that quote right there (quoting myself is cool). And what it means is that unless you're actually giving out valuable information, nobody cares about what you have to say. This rings perfectly true whether it's keyword-articles, sales copy, press releases, or whatever it is you're publishing. And as far as I know, "quality material" doesn't usually come from bored college students who're tired of watching re-runs of South Park. Unfortunately, there are still many buyers who don't realize this at all.

Of course, I wouldn't be doing justice to the entire buyer community if I made all buyers look desperate or cheap, which is what most 'professional online content writers' do. (That was a keyword by the way... Ooh Google's going to love me now!!!!!.... lame.) There are lots of great buyers who are willing to work with good writers but thanks to overcrowded marketplaces, incompetent writers pop-up first and turn them off. And this is all the more reason for top-level writers to overprice their content and be like "Pay me $$$ or settle for gibberish."

It's like a tug-of-war here; low-grade writers selling total unintelligible bull for peanuts and professionals charging you an arm and a leg just for some decent content. And as you see-saw between both extremes, your competition is already ahead of you.

Now, it's not my intention to make this 'Welcome' page an idealistic tirade but after watching so much nonsense being shoved down our throats, I knew I couldn't live with myself if I didn't step in and do something about it.

Raising the bar...

Being an ardent author and the God of writing myself (tada!), I just couldn't stand for this atrocity. And that's exactly why I'm here: to make a difference; to raise the measure (and make lots of money). Now, I know you've probably heard all this talk before but as a writer, I have always been at the top of my game. From my first professional writing project three years ago to my latest literary endeavors, I have never been known to relax my standards. My content has never, ever been sub-par and unless I'm devoured by a horde of bloodthirsty low-grade writers soon, I will go down in history as a brave and mythical writer who fought to keep the spirit of penmanship alive!

To conclude

The point of this entire essay is not only that online content today needs a revival but also that you need first-class material to avoid getting lost in the mix with all the cheap publishers. Your content needs to be top-notch for you to thrive amidst the serious competition. That's exactly what I intend to help you with. Please look around my site and I'm sure you'll find me more than capable and perfectly suited to all your content needs.

Besides, I've designed, laid out, written and coded this entire site for you to read. Don't want to leave now and hurt my sentiments, do you? (I check stats so I'll know.)

Cheers and thanks for reading,

Techman
